Applications for bursary funds to assist with semester two studies are closing on 27 July 2026. A bursary is a financial award given to a student, to help cover the cost of education. It may be granted towards the payment of tuition fees, living expenses, or study materials such as books. Unlike a loan, bursaries do not need to be repaid.
2026 Eva Burrows Australian Leadership Scholarship for Women
This $25,000 scholarship for study at Eva Burrows College will be awarded to a female who has undertaken substantial paid or unpaid work in the delivery of the mission of The Salvation Army in the previous two years and is seeking support to develop their leadership capabilities. The scholarship will cover education expenses towards the approved study and/or related travel, along with mentoring throughout their period of study.
Applications invited for 2027 women’s Study, Accompaniment and Mentoring (SAM) Program
Since their foundation and throughout their history, the Sisters of the Good Samaritan have been committed to the flourishing of women. The 2027 Study, Accompaniment and Mentoring (SAM) Program offers financial assistance for women undertaking tertiary studies at a recognised theological institution, such as the University of Divinity.

Clare Burton Memorial Scholarship
An exciting opportunity for students undertaking research in gender equality who need funding to turn their research goals into reality is available through Queensland University of Technology– the Clare Burton Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is open to students from all Australian universities.
The Robert James Brown PhD Scholarship (2026-2027)
This scholarship is made possible by a generous bequest from The Reverend Dr Robert James Brown (1946-2013), a Uniting Church minister, and is established to assist a candidate from the Uniting Church tradition to undertake higher degree by research study at the University of Divinity.

The Janette Gray PhD Scholarship provides a Research Fee Scholarship and Research Stipend Scholarship to study a PhD in one of the disciplines of Theology at the University of Divinity.
2026 Applications open for the Tertiary Access Payment
Applications for the Tertiary Access Payment are open! Regional or remote Year 12 graduates who plan to relocate or have already relocated for tertiary study may be eligible to receive a payment of either $3,000 or $5,000.
