Pacifica ceased publication in December 2017, following the conclusion of the publication of the final issue of 2017. Backfiles of Pacifica remain available on the SAGE Publications website.
Founded in 1987 by the Pacifica Theological Studies Association, then wholly owned by the University of Divinity, Pacifica was a peer-reviewed journal of Christian theology and its associated disciplines whose contributors included established and emerging scholars from within Australia and around the world.
Published three times per year for 30 years, Pacifica served the needs of scholars, students and pastors by fostering critical theological engagement with the contemporary challenges facing the Christian Churches.
In particular, Pacifica brought to current theological debates the unique contributions of Australasia and the Western Pacific.
